Training and Growth

Studies have long shown the correlation between the success of a given company and the training level of its staff. The speed of technological advances and the increase in global competition only reinforces this trend.

Proper training of employees also contributes to increase their self-esteem and raises the level of importance of their role within the company. This in turn has a major impact on their level of engagement with the company and makes them a stronger cog in their workplace which then leads to an increase in overall economic performance.

That being said, it boggles the mind that even today some businesses still neglect the importance of training. In fact, the economic crises over the past 30 years have relegated training budgets to the bottom of priority lists. It was shown that if training had not been encouraged by successive governments (1%, DIF, etc.) the end result would have been even more catastrophic.

In the 1990s, most companies were forced to undergo substantial cuts, forgoing traditional training methods which were more costly in favour of more affordable remote training options. E-Learning of that era was often lacking in the quality of available courses and rarely lived up to expectations which hindered its growth as a viable solution.

Today much of that has changed and E-Learning offerings have evolved to be more not only of higher quality, but also now include a vast array of available courses. Linked to more traditional training methods like in-house training or training in a virtual environment, the resulting hybrid training modules provide results that are becoming more and more popular among companies looking to train their staff.

Today E-Learning represents an adaptive and simple solution in efforts to support the training methods of any business. The efficient use of these methods can not only restore the quality of your training, but even also improve it.

If the increase in the offer and the subsequent demand for it is any indication, it is clear that E-Learning certainly has the wind in its sails. But is this enough to ensure its long-term growth as a solution? Time will tell, but things look promising, to say the least…
