CURRENT E-LEARNING CONTENT OFFERINGS

The majority of computer users have already taken an e-Learning training module. The term e-Learning encompasses a variety of activities, content and online learning situations. Businesses and organizations understand this, and setting up targeted training programs ensures that employers can offer right mix of skills for their employees.

We will focus on the areas taught through remote learning and zero in on those that are most in demand.

There many themes offered by remote learning modules which cover several areas, including the following examples:

– Buying, quality and supply chain;

–  Commerce;

– Personal development;

– Professional efficiency;

– Finance, management, accounting;

– Project management;

– Management and leadership;

– Training;

– Marketing, communications, innovation;

– Industrial performance;

– Quality, safety, environment;

– Human resources;

– Languages;

– Etc.

Let us now look more specifically at an area where remote learning is particularly in demand: the commercial sector. These resources tend to be very nomadic and the employer often has little time to train them. It is therefore a preferred target for e-Learning, which must meet four main training objectives:

Sales techniques: it is not an easy exercise for a salesperson to question themselves in a traditional training setting known as “face-to-face” training. E-Learning is a solution adapted to learning or revising the basics of the profession in question.

Product or service offer: whether to test knowledge of a product catalogue, assimilation rate changes or preview a new product, e-Learning is a fast and flexible solution.

Commercial IT: When vendors need to train in a new CRM software, the software editors usually offer standard face-to-face training, but as soon as it is customized, a personalized pedagogy can become necessary. E-Learning can easily meet this need by, for example, providing learning modules based on user simulations of the tool in question.

Foreign languages: Companies often use e-Learning to train their employees in other languages, such as English, when they open themselves up to new markets. Online training facilitates the learning of a language. For example, pronunciation can be measured as a graph and compared to an ideal curve.

Ultimately, e-Learning meets many of the needs that businesses have in terms of offering training content. It has already increased its market share and it pursues in this vein, whether at the level of teaching fields, authoring tools or the teaching methodologies employed.
